The Ultimate Brownie
THE ULTIMATE BROWNIE
makes 16 small bars
Every once in awhile I crave something super chocolatey and when it’s that time I always crave a brownie. Not the cakey kind but the gooey-in-the-middle kind. This that kind! Perfectly paired with a latte.
Ingredients
1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, chopped
1 and 1/3 cups (200g) dark chocolate, chopped
1 and 1/3 cups (200g) 70% dark chocolate, chopped
4 eggs
1 cup (220g) white (granulated) sugar
1 cup (175g) brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup (150g) plain flour, sifted
Directions
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
In a medium saucepan set over low heat, melt together unsalted butter and dark chocolate , stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and set aside.
In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, white sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Add the egg mixture to the melted chocolate mixture and stir to combine.
Fold in the sifted plain flour until the batter is smooth and well combined.
Pour the batter into a lightly greased 8”X12” pan that's lined with non-stick baking paper.
Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out fudgy.
Let the slice cool completely in the tin before dusting with Dutch cocoa and serving.
This recipe makes 10-12 servings.
